The group attacked the weeds in the Cheriton Stream where it flows alongside and under the B3046 near where it enters the village green.
The work was in three fronts covering the Bramdean tributary on both sides of the B3046
and the tributary coming from Geddes Pond which has much weed – see later.
Some weed was uprooted and floated down the stream.
There were about 10 members present and the recent growth produced a considerable amount of weeds which needed chucking on the rapidly growing pile.
and the final result…..a load of weed for ultimate composting.
….and a stream that flows much better.
